25 Years of togetherness…

25
We left for distributing cards late that evening. My mother and I had around 6 houses to cover and as we scurried along the road the water splashing everywhere we knew we would never make it in time before the God’s decide to be merciful. It’s my parent’s 25th anniversary this year and for the party we have taken up the humongous task of trying to bring together all the people who actually attended the wedding.
** Forward the scene to a few houses later, we were at the last one**
This one belongs to my mom’s best friend. Her soul mate, her only sister. She passed away recently and this came as disastrous news to everybody.

We were sitting together in their living room. We had come there to invite her dad, Uncle who treats Ma no less than his own daughter. After seeing a few photographs, the usual course of jokes and talking of old times, everyone was silent for a while my mom suddenly goes all like,"Uncle, get a medal along with a trophy for me!”
Seeing everyone on looking at her with questionable eyes, she added, “I have spent 25 years with him.” She was beaming.
: )
Hope you both spend many more years together...  celebrating both of you!

When we celebrated our grandparents' 50th anniversary it was such a nostalgic moment for the both of them wen we called all their friends from their yester years...Tears of joy filled their eyes...I still remember those two happy faces *sniff sniff*. U are doing an amazing thing!!
